Vocabulary:

aerodynamic - the branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of gases (especially
air) and their effects on bodies in the flow

aviator – a pilot

aviation – operation of an aircraft

dirigible - steerable self-propelled airship

engineering - scientific and mathematical principles to design, manufacture, and operate
efficient machines, processes, and systems.

innovation – the act of introducing something new

irrational – not governed by reason, mental clarity, or understanding

theory - a working hypothesis considered probable based on experimental
evidence

WASPS - A member of Women's Airforce Service Pilots, organized during World War II as part of the U.S. Army Air Forces to ferry aircraft and to test new aircraft. The organization was disbanded in 1944.
